What Ages Can Start?
Our kids beginner no-gi class on Mondays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM is designed for ages 5 to 12, and we also offer classes for teens. Check the schedule for all current kids class times.
What Happens in a Kids BJJ Class?
A typical class starts with a fun warm-up, moves into a technique of the day taught step by step, and finishes with games and light, supervised live training. Coaches keep it safe, structured and positive.
How Kids Progress
We hold kids belt promotions about every three months, and kids generally earn a new belt after about a year of training. Read more in How Kids Get Promoted in BJJ. Kids who want to compete can join our competition class.
What Should My Child Wear?
For the no-gi class, comfortable athletic clothes without zippers or buttons work great. Bring a water bottle, and please trim fingernails and toenails. Ask our front desk about uniforms for gi classes.
