Hi there,

I've been pondering this topic lately and I believe I've cracked the code. Confidence, I've realized, is cultivated through our experiences. Allow me to explain…

Fun fact: I play piano, often performing for seniors at assisted living centers.  I've learned a valuable and painful lesson: never attempt a song in public unless you've perfected it in practice. Trust me, it's a painful truth!

Picture this: skipping practice sessions all week only to cram in 30 minutes before a recital. Disaster waiting to happen, right?

After learning this lesson the hard way more times than I care to admit, I've found consistency to be a game-changer. Even dedicating a few minutes daily to practice has made a significant difference. Now, when I step into a senior center, I feel like the geriatric Justin Bieber—confident and ready to perform, thanks to putting in the work all week.

But let's talk about the flip side—the sinking feeling of lacking confidence. It's a familiar dread, isn't it? Whether it's facing a daunting task or being in unfamiliar company, the anxiety it brings seems to plague many of us.

So, here are three tips on boosting confidence—for FREE:

1. Keep your word: It's as simple as that. Honor your commitments, whether it's showing up on time or following through on promises. Hold yourself accountable and don't let excuses get in the way.

2. Control your time: In a world where "busy" is the norm, carve out time for yourself. Learn to say no when necessary and prioritize what matters most to you. Remember, actions speak louder than words.

3. Break a sweat: Regular exercise doesn't have to cost a dime. Whether it's a brisk walk or a series of bodyweight exercises, aim to push yourself until you break a sweat. Not only will it keep you physically fit, but it'll also instill confidence in your ability to commit and follow through.

These strategies won't cost you a penny. So why not give them a try? I'd love to hear about your experience!

Note to self.. Do it Anyway 🥊
