Juel Rice
I started training BJJ, MMA, and Muay Thai in 2013, and I have focused exclusively on BJJ since 2018. I first began coaching as a volunteer parent in 2016 and eventually became the Assistant Kids Coach in 2021. My favorite thing about teaching Martial Arts is seeing the mental, emotional, and physical transformations people go through as they learn a new challenging skill. I love seeing them grow in confidence and self-awareness just as much as they improve their technical skills. Whether we are playing games, preparing for a competition, or doing self-defense, my classes emphasize focus, effort, and efficiency. My goal is for every child to be competent in BJJ fundamentals, and also have the ability to use the principles we teach to overcome challenges in life.
